Chilean Cuisine

Chilean cuisine definitively did not sprout from a unique source

as many other cuisines around the world, it evolved with the arrival of foreign products in association with local ones.

The Spanish conquistadores brought with them their cooking and spices, a mixture from the Hispanic and Arabic worlds, contributing fundamental elements as garlic, onion, oregano and the firsts wine-producing vines. This Old World cuisine joined with the traditional one from the native cultures of North, Center and Southern Chile, giving form to a variety of substantial, plentiful and tasty dishes.
